We are currently recruiting for a Business Intelligence Analyst for our clients based in Brussels for a 1 year + contract -CONTEXT/INTRODUCTION
DG AGRI manages an extensive portfolio of information systems that support the core business activities of DG AGRI. These information systems are specific to DG AGRI since they support the day-to-day activities of the DG related to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
The CAP information systems cover a wide range of business areas such as:
- financial management and audit;
- agricultural markets;
- rural development;
- economic analysis.
The CAP information systems are elaborated, developed and implemented by the DG AGRI's IT Unit (Unit R.3 "Information technology").
In order to enhance the quality and further develop the CAP Information Systems, DG AGRI's IT Unit needs to use the services of one Contractor's qualified person having the abovementioned profile.
This person will be assigned mainly to the project SFC2014. Other assignments on other IT projects in the same domain of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) - operational technical assistance would be possible.
Assigned tasks and required knowledge and skills are listed in the following paragraphs.
NATURE OF TASKS
The tasks are related to the development of information systems, their implementation and maintenance of the CAP Information Systems, in accordance with the "Nature of the tasks" expected of a person proposed with the required profile, as described in the framework contract.
The Contractor's staff will execute the contract under the Agile@EC project management methodology and the Agile RUP@EC software development methodology that DG AGRI will use to monitor the deliverables. The Contractor will make provision in order that its staff does not consider the implementation of that monitoring as direct orders given by the Commission
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The Contractor's proposed person must have the minimal knowledge and skills that a person with this profile is expected to possess, as defined in the framework contract. The Location of services delivery will be Brussels. Therefore, in accordance with the requirements of the framework contract, the Contractor's proposed person must have the ability to understand and express orally positions in English and French during meetings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The Contractor's proposed person must have the minimal education qualifications and experience that a person with this profile is required to possess, as defined in the framework contract.
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
The Contractor's proposed person must have a specific expertise as required by the framework contract for for the above-mentioned profile. Additionally, an experience of at least 6 years in the following technology is required:
- Oracle RDBMS Some experience/knowledge in QlikView would be considered as an asset.
