Cloud Architect - Ireland - 12 Month Contract
Montash have been engaged by a global telecommunications company based in Ireland to secure an Cloud Architect. They require someone who has worked on large scale service deployment programmes on Public, Private or Hybrid Cloud. The main focus for the role will be within the service operation layer of the Cloud.
The Enterprise Cloud Architect will:
- Create technology strategies for the organisations service operation cloud solution.
- Deploy complex services onto the existing cloud platform
- Be responsible for end to end availability and performance of the cloud to ensure 100% stable service
- You will be responsible for the technical strategy planning, architecture design and optimization.
- You will follow and participate in overall process design, tool design and development, root cause analysis of faults, and solution design.
The right Enterprise Cloud Architect must have:
- Experience in large-scale software design and development planning in the Internet/IT fields.
- A minimum 5 years' experience in operation experience as large-scale cloud service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) providers
- In-depth knowledge and experiences with at least one industry-leading cloud technology, such as OpenStack, CloudStack, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.
- Demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert for site reliability architecture, DevOps, product operation, and technical assurance in well-known Internet/cloud service companies.
- In-depth understanding on organizations, processes, and technology architectures related to cloud service operations in Internet companies.
- Good knowledge of the technical fields related to the large scale service deployment onto Public, Private or Hybrid cloud services such as network protocols and architecture, operating systems, and storage technologies.
- Preferred industry backgrounds; Telecommunications, larger service providers or cloud providers.
The ideal consultant will have worked up the architecture ladder starting with a strong background in open source development that enables the cloud and/or vitalisation technologies. As well as this they require someone with strong steak holder engagement skills to communicate to both technical and non-technical stake holders.
