Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for working with business and technical staff in planning, executing, and documenting testing. Work with technical and business resources to understand requirements for each project affecting any component of application. Learn individual components of system to facilitate the development and execution of comprehensive test plans. Follow and enhance developed testing processes, procedures, or methodologies. Document test cases to meet desired test coverage goals. Assist with test automation effort. Work to minimize risk by identifying, communicating and escalating issues appropriately to management.
Minimum number of years of experience required: 3-5 years doing software testing or business analysis with experience in User Acceptance testing on web and mobile.
Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities:
Work closely with project team members (eg product owner, business analyst, scrum tester) to get a deep understanding of the application under test and identify User Acceptance Test (UAT) needs.
Responsible for all the UAT activities of the assigned project(s) including but not limited to, identifying test scope, test scenarios, writing detailed test scripts, test data preparation, test execution and test reporting (eg defects, test metrics, etc.)
Communicate status, issues, impediments, risk to Product Owner and UAT Lead
Attend projects meetings such as release planning, scrum meetings, daily stand-up
Top 3 - 5 Required Skills:
Must have hands on experience on testing web and mobile applications both on IOS and Android
Must have worked on an agile/scrum work environment
Must be experienced in doing User Acceptance and know the difference in doing UAT vs. functional testing Ability to handle multiple projects/products to test that may be on different stages of development
Experience using these tools: MS Office (eg Visio, Excel, Word, Powerpoint), defect tracking tool preferably ALM Quality Center, agile management tool such as Rally, version control system such as Sharepoint
Desired skills:
Experience on test automation (Selenium, Java, etc.) is preferred
Knowledge on testing responsive design
Knowledge on testing personalization
Has been on test lead position but not required
Soft Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills both technical and user focused;
Strong attention to details
Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines;
Must be able to work with minimum supervision
