system admin, VMware, Citrix, Checkpoint firewall, Cisco, Linux, WintelMy client are one of the leading UK reatail companies who have stores located across the country. They seek a good Systems Admin person with the skills identified above, although some architecture/infrastructure design experience would be advantageous we're in a phase where we'll likely be keeping things running as opposed to developing.
At least a CCNA level' in relation to networking/Cisco. This is key!
We do need somebody who has the skills to worth their way through weird and wonderful routing and networking type issues. Part of the role is likely to include the deployment of a new Citrix Environment.
Priorities
Checkpoint Firewall Suite including (VPN, Threat prevention and Application Control blades), VMware vSphere (4.1 and 5.x), Citrix Xenapp (4.5 and 7.x), Cisco networking skills to at least a CCNA level.
Useful
SAN Experience (IBM DS Storage, IBM Storwize, IBM SVC), Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating systems (specifically AD and Group policy), Working knowledge of Linux.
Nice to Have
Juniper SA Series, Veeam Backup and Replication.

Core Hours: 08:30 - 16:30 (can have some flexibility)
Core Days: Mon - Fri
Location: Surrey - 6 months contract - per day
