SPECIALIST SENIOR CONSULTANT TEST ENGINEER
The contract is with a consultancy to be on assignment at a large European site in Den Haag, Netherlands.
The client is urgently seeking a Specialist Senior Consultant Test Engineer to perform additional testing activities on various projects within the Test & Quality Assurance team.
Tasks:
. Conduct independent test analysis, design and execution of functional and technical tests using available testing tools
. Contribute to acceptance testing (UAT/OAT) of in-house/outsourced developed applications
. perform test planning/management/reporting
The consultant will liaise with and inform the Technical Manager responsible for the development of the project regarding the status and progress of the tasks set out above.
Professional Experience:
Mandatory:
. a min of 5 years exp in conducting functional testing
. a min of 2 years exp in organising/contributing to acceptance testing (UAT/OAT) of internally/externally developed applications
. a min of 2 years exp in test planning and test management
. a min of 2 years exp in testing of customised commercial-off-the-shelf products (eg. Sharepoint, Planon etc.)
. a min 1 year exp in conducting performance and configuration testing of applications using MS Sharepoint
. 1 year exp in testing Back End services owned/hosted by 3rd parties
Professional Knowledge:
Mandatory:
. Theoretical knowledge of the fundamental test process
. Knowledge of testing on various test levels using a variety of test types
. Knowledge of test management, planning, test metrics and estimations
. Knowledge of test design/execution using the following test design techniques: Specification-based (or behaviour-based or Black Box); Structure-based (or White Box); Defect-based; Experience-based
. Knowledge of how to
- determine suitable test approaches
- compose suitable Test Documentation
- define suitable acceptance criteria
. review structurally work products from other teams
. Knowledge of ISEB/ISTQB terminology - relevant certification
Working knowledge of English mandatory
Desirable:
. Knowledge of testing the following Software Quality Characteristics: Functionality, Technical Security, Usability, Efficiency, Reliability
. Knowledge how to test initial data loads/imports using interfaces provided by 3rd parties
. Knowledge how to script functional automated tests using automation frameworks (no record and playback approaches)
