Graphical Web Designer
Job Description
The Graphical Web Designer performs graphic design production and review for a variety of internal clients (Marketing, Sales, Support) in the e-department.
Graphical Web Designer may take responsibility for the design of solutions from concept to completion. He/She will also participate in the various commercial web campaigns (bannering, pages...)
He/She works in a team with other Web Designers & Publishers and report to the Team Manager.
They also work closely with internal and external partners specialized in Web design and electronic communication.
Tasks are divided into two areas:
Daily design tasks:
Checking completeness of briefings sent to you about design creation and updates;
Critical analysing of briefings;
Estimating mandays;
Follow graphical guidelines (identity, typography, colours, composition, pictures, etc.); to be shared with internal partners;
Designing creative proposals within deadlines set;
Following HTML Design library;
Strictly controlling quality before publishing web pages in production.
Adapt small set of JavaScript Content
Project development:
Understanding of business requirements;
Brainstorming in close collaboration with Creative expert, CMS expert, Web Designer and Team Manager;
Translating the strategies and concepts in creative and innovative layout, making sure they comply with branding rules, CMS constraints and HTML library restrictions;
Sketching graphical briefings to be sent to internal partners (business) and/or external partners (Web and Communication agencies);
Designing creative proposals within deadlines set;
You must have:
High school degree in graphic design or web design;
Some relevant experience in Internet web design business (personal site/client);
Highly creative drive to produce refreshing, innovative and original graphical design;
Excellent graphic skills, proven experience with Web Design tools (Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash);
knowledge of HTML (understanding the work of the technical web design);
Excellent knowledge of Responsive design and its practice;
familiarity with CMS use;
usability and ergonomics approach;
Languages: Dutch/French and English.
