Description

Role: Asp.Net Developer

Location: Dublin City Centre

Duration: 6 months

X-Factor: Immediate Interviews - High potential for contract extension

You will be joining the .Net Web Development team as it goes through a rapid phase of change and expansion. A new Project focused team is being created and your daily responsibilities will be the gathering and analysis of requirements from end-clients throughout the European Financial Services sector. The core development is Asp.Net MVC with .Net Web Services and WCF, with a strong knowledge of C#.Net or Vb.Net in .Net Framework .Net2.0 - .Net4.0.

There will be agreed code specifications and time-scale deliverables and these will be managed through weekly Scrum huddles.

These Scrums involve the end client participation and is an innovative way of delivering client updates whilst receiving real-time feedback as well.

The office location is in the heart of Dublin City Centre, within walking distance of all major public transport links. The company is large and robust, with a very stable market presence offering the distinct possibility of contract extension.

Skills:

- Third level qualification in Computer Science or related discipline

- At least 4 years development experience in .Net framework 2.0 - 4.0

- 4 + years development experience in Asp.Net Webforms Development (Vb.Net or C#)

- Strong knowledge of Web Services and WCF configuration

- Strong knowledge of development with Javascript, Jquery and Ajax

- Database experience with SQL 2008, including stored procedures, T-SQL development and SSIS

- Knowledge of HTML, XML

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Strong analysis and problem solving skills

- Previous Financial Services experience a distinct advantage
