This is an opportunity to work on not only a Greenfield project but a genuinely pioneering one, breaking new ground in the Cloud based, E-commerce market place. This will be a long-term, ever-evolving project with multi-million pound budget - It's start-up, blue sky innovation but with the committed backing of a powerful and profitable corporate.
They are looking for a strong UI Developer with current, detailed experience of JavaScript and Angular, Backbone and/or Bootstrap, ideally with some exposure to incorporating AEM/AMC for UX and managing Content. You will have a track record of delivering high quality UI's for enterprise scale applications which in turn integrate seamlessly with mobile devices, web-based apps etc providing a high volume and varied user base with an exemplary User Experience. This will form the sophisticated but easy to use Front End to a future state E-commerce platform utilising a contemporary Open Source stack (Java, Linux, HTML5, Javascript/JQuery, CSS, Spring, Mule, MongoDB, CI, Splunk (Hudson/Jenkins), Jira etc).
As well as being technically adept you will also need to be an excellent communicator; client facing and able to ascertain the functional needs of both commercial and technical partnerships and stakeholders. This is pivotal for both understanding and solving the problem as well as the on-going Agile/TDD process.
They are building a culture, not just a technical task force here and are looking for real enthusiasts who can site and demonstrate their passion for development outside the workplace; people who develop for fun and to challenge themselves with personal projects and ideas they have worked on in their own time (Bloggers, Active forum contributors, Websites, Github accounts et al). Ideas are going to be as important as conversion from concept to code because this is a blank canvas project without precedent.
