Fixed Installation Tester (FIT) - Gloucestershire - DV Cleared (ideally or eligible to take) -
6 months Contract - £200 - £300 per day (dependent on experience)

Client:-
A major FTSE 100 multinational organisation based in Gloucestershire require a DV Cleared (or eligible to take) Fixed Installation Tester (FIT) to provide electrical testing, installation and maintenance activities for various sites within the UK and overseas.
Working in conjunction with the Team Leader, the Fixed Installation Tester (FIT) will be required to promote timely responses and resolutions to testing changes and issues for the duration of tasks, whilst ensuring quality and delivery on time and within budget.
Role:-
- Assisting the Team Leader in ensuring all electrical testing related documentation is submitted to the various sites within the UK and overseas on completion, including method statements and risk assessments.
- Produce electrical test certification on completion of fixed testing.
- Ensure all systems are inspected and/or tested to the relevant electrical standards, ensuring best practice is employed in all activities.
- Rectify any installation faults discovered as a result of inspection and/or testing of equipment, replacing items as and when required.
- Store test results and download into main database as appropriate.
- Ensure correct calibration of equipment and that it is fit for purpose and notifying the Team Leader of any equipment deficiencies.
- Assist the Team Leader in liaising with various sites in the UK and overseas, with any notification of delays ensuring their expectations are managed and actions put in place for any mitigation.
- Provide engineering advice and solutions to any technical problems encountered during electrical inspection, testing and/or installation.
- Ensure all activities undertaken are compliant with statutory processes.
- Ensure safe and cost effective use of machines, hand tools and facilities.
- Ensure work safety and efficiency at all times.
- Maintain the values of LEAN methodology.
Candidate:-
- DV Cleared (ideally or eligible to take).
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to form solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic IT operating and installation skills.
- Positive attitude and enthusiastic approach to assisting senior management.
- Time served electrical apprenticeship.
- A self-starter with a strong application of the electrical installation field.
