Description

Our client, an international company pioneer within the pharmaceutical industry and located in Switzerland is in the need of a System Engineer. For this reason, we are looking for a talented professional, who is willing to be a part of this project. It will begin ASAP until December 2015.

Within the role the responsibilities will be:

- Server, Printer & Data Centre monitoring, administration and operation
- 2nd & 3rd Line support (troubleshooting, incident management, debugging)
- Assessment and documentation of application server infrastructure
- Review and update server records in CMDB
- Project related site deployment and integration
- Integrate and support solutions together with other application teams
- Executing planned maintenance (security patching, operating system and tooling upgrades)
- Performance monitoring & tuning
- Improvement and extension of operational stability
- Creation and improvements of operational guidelines, implementation guidelines and QA documentation

The profile requirements are:

- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft server technologies and Vmware

- Microsoft MCSE, MCITP or MCSA on Windows Server

- Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science OR equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred;

- ITIL Foundation

- Work experience in medical/pharma or other regulated industry preferred

- Fluency in both English and German

- Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work);

- Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills;

- Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements;

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

- Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision;

- Quick learner, motivated self-starter;

- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills;

- Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines;

- On-call permanency is possible;
