Senior MySQL Database administrator
- 3 month+ Contract
- Rate: very competitive and dependent on experience
- Location: Manchester City Centre
- The client: A leading organisation in there field, with offices worldwide.
Key responsibilities
* Automating systems management of new and existing Databases.
* Actively monitoring the performance and stability of all the production and internal Database infrastructure using your analytical skills to anticipate future problems and resolve them effectively.
* Troubleshooting and resolving problems with other Database administrators, systems administrators, software developers.
* Supporting the rapid development and deployment of internal software and systems.
* Provide excellent service in response to commercial business requirements. You will have to provide knowledge and support to technical software developers.
* Documenting systems and communicate technical knowledge to Colleagues.
Skills needed:
* At least five years' experience of administering large-scale MySQL and InnoDB deployments with intensive use of MySQL replication. Experience working in a senior technical role.
* Good proficiency in Linux systems administration
* Python programming and Bourne Shell Scripting is a plus.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, under pressure.
