Description

A Customer Service/Technical Support Consultant is required for a fast-growing Software Organisation in the Greater Manchester area. Working initially as a Customer Services/Support Consultant assisting our existing clients, you will have opportunities to develop your technical and communication skills, and to diversify into other disciplines such as Software Engineering, Quality Assurance or Solution Delivery.

Reporting to the Customer Services Manager you will be responsible for providing excellent technical and customer service to our clients and colleagues. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of our software, which needs to be combined with a positive, can-do attitude.

You will be representing the business in a professional and competent manner, giving clients complete confidence in our product and abilities, and providing resource and expertise to support our Development, Delivery and Sales teams.

To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate a blend of customer service, customer support and technical skills but above all you will need to demonstrate an affinity with technology, a natural ability to learn quickly and commitment to excellence.

The Job Role:

Receive enquiries, investigate and resolve whilst ensuring that all standards expected such as SLA's, call handling procedures etc. are maintained or exceeded

Actively manage the relationship with your nominated customers to identify concerns, opportunities and improvements

Install and upgrade bespoke software

Deliver on our promise of "expert advice and assistance" by providing resource within the business as required

You will consider process and product improvement in everything that you do.

Experience Required:

A good degree preferably in computer science or similar discipline is desired

Prior experience of software product support is particularly helpful, especially on a Windows (Windows Server, SQL Server) platform.

This role is a really exciting one, and offers you a chance to grow, learn and develop your skills further into Software Engineering, Quality Assurance or Solution Delivery depending on your preference of work and chosen career path.

The role is for an initial 12 month period, with a view to be taken on permanently afterwards.

Salary is £18,000 - £22,000 depending on experience. We will also consider candidates who have recently left University and are interested in a career in IT.
