My client, a leading ATM organisation in Belgium is looking for an experienced SharePoint Information Architect to work as part of a team for an initial one year contract with possibility of extension.

Specific context:

  • Your mission is to plan, design and implement global Information Architecture and Information Management standards to ensure venerability of information, compliance to regulations/requirements and efficiency gains.
  • This role is of strategic importance as IA outcomes will feed into SharePoint overall governance and it will provide guidance to SharePoint projects and it shall help establish new ways of working for our community of users.
  • The candidate has to be specialized in Information Architecture vs. Business Analysis and must show proven track records in the field.

Evaluation criteria:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in SharePoint 2013 information architecture (definition of taxonomy, content categorisation, search, metadata, content types, usability, site structure, navigation, user experience, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in SharePoint 2013 information management (governance and compliance)
  • Ability to lead the definition and to manage the change related to the establishment of IA standards, processes and organisation
  • Ability to support user adoption related to IA standards
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2013 functionalities and capabilities (OOTB functionalities, configuration possibilities) similar to power users
  • Sound knowledge of SharePoint 2013 technical architecture and capabilities (SP developments and integration)
  • Knowledge of NINTEX and Office 365
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Leadership, Result driven, integrity and team player abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, French would be an asset
  • Task description and responsibilities:

    • Assess current information architecture both in our SP platform and in other CMS and storage
    • Establish Information Architecture standards around taxonomy, content categorisation, search, metadata, content types, usability, site structure, navigation, user experience, etc.
    • Establish Information Management approach, including governance (permissions, content life cycle, security) and compliance
    • Define and implement the necessary organization and processes to ensure Information Architecture standards are developed, revised and followed
    • Determine trade-offs for our Information Architecture policies to be acceptable for the users
    • Ensure adoption (ie. understanding and adherence) of IA standards, policies and new working practices by the SharePoint functional support team and SharePoint users community
    • Ensure transfer of responsibility to the functional support team for the management and monitoring of IA standards
    • Define/Review and implement the Agency Document and Record Management policy
    • Provide guidance to SharePoint projects (ie. Intranet migration and Document Management System migration into SP, Enterprise search)
