HOME WORKING

Location: North Yorkshire (However mostly home working)

Duration: initial 3m contract likely extension

Rate: £30 - £35 PH

I am looking for a well rounded engineer to design, build and integrate a new power steering ECU into a prototype race car. The company is very innovative and heavily involved within R+D across several classes of circuit racing.

You will be solely responsible for designing, programming, testing, and implementing a power steering ECU system within the vehicle that will have an inbuilt potentiometer and strain gauge. Ideally your system will have real time transmission ability to send information back to the pits during the race.

This role will be predominantly home working, however you will have access to the vehicle whenever needed in order to carry out your work.

In order to be considered for this role you must:
  • Have previous experience within the Automotive/ Motor sport environment.

  • Be confident using embedded C/C++

  • Have experience of MATLAB/ SIMULINK within an automotive environment.

  • PIC microcontrollers, HI-TECH PIC-C, MS C++, MS Visual BASIC, VHDL;

  • Automated Test Equipment (ATE.)

  • Cabling schematics, electronic schematics and PCB design and implementation.

  • ASSEMBLER (Microchip), C/C++, Visual BASIC, VHDL.


Desirable:
  • Currently be working within a Motor Sport/ Automotive company in a similar capacity

  • Have 5 or more years experience within this field

  • Be available immediately
