QA test, Documentation, Test Scripts, TestI am currently looking for an QA test engineer to join a key client of mine on an 16 month contract. You will be working on the test of electronic boards down to component level. You will also be required to write documentation for the product.

Duration: 16 months
Rates: £170 - £240 p/d
You will be working for an industry leading company working on the latest technological advancements in their field.
You will be required to have experience with QA testing of firmware. The creation of automation test scripts would be advantageous. The candidate will have proven QA Test experience, particularly in the following areas:
- Software QA/test engineer with an appreciation for hardware.
- Familiarity with rigging together equipment, doing analysis and proving use in a software controlled environment.
- PC configuration and appreciation of networking technologies.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
- Concise documentation.
- Technically minded but with ability to communicate with non-technical staff.
- Ability to create and carry out concise but thorough tests.
- Working around problems to ensure completion of tasks.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:
- Familiarity with testing Electronic Development Boards and prototype designs.
- Using off-the shelf electronics equipment (cameras, PCs, networking and storage devices).
- Lower level scripted testing in C/C++.
- Cameras and optics.
- Knowledge of defect tracking software such as Jira.
