UNIX/Linux System Engineer: AIX, Solaris, RedHat, SUSE, RHEL
My client, a world renowned global organisation is seeking a UNIX/Linux Engineer with more than 6 years of IT experience in large enterprises, over 4 years of direct Unix and Linux Administration and engineering level experience and a minimum of 4 years direct RHEL Engineer level experience. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of advanced OS Administration and a solid understanding of networking, trace analysis, concepts like load balancing, fault tolerance, Firewalls and other networking devices.
JOB DIMENSION
* Capable of taking technical lead role for category A and B projects with more than 4 indirect reports.
* Must operate at a Senior level in multiple Unix/Linux OS flavors preferably in AIX, Solaris, RedHat, and SUSE operating systems - Linux RHEL or SUSE Expertise Required For this Individual
* Capable of leading projects related to operational Unix/Linux environments with either local or global scope.
* Ability to collaborate with resources from GIS and the business lines, acting as subject matter expert for Unix and Linux Systems/Services.
* Ensure Unix/Linux Infrastructure operations are aligned with strategies of GIS to ensure support for the future technology roadmap.
* Provides support for outsourced vendor partners related to Unix/Linux Services.
* Above average ability to communicate in both written and verbal communications including the creation of SOPs, Qualification documents/templates, and troubleshooting Guides
