Position Summary:Manage nutrition review of marketing and communication materials.
Responsible for the entry and maintenance of accurate ingredient and nutrition information.
Apply nutrition science expertise to lead the communication on ingredients and nutrition in menu items.
Main Responsibilities:
Serve as primary reviewer and approver of all communication vehicles that carry nutrition information. Materials include packaging, menu boards, marketing ads and other documents as appropriate.
Responsible for the maintenance of accurate nutrition and ingredient information in the nutrition database.
Implement appropriate naming conventions, references, and history logs within the nutrition database.
Calculate nutrient information and create Nutrition Facts Panels for new test products and on-going menu changes.
Follow, maintain, document and establish standard processes to maintain, sustain, and improve the nutrition database.
Facilitate the U.S. Menu team in all directed requests for ingredient and nutrition initiatives.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in either Food Science or Nutrition Science.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or Registration eligible.
At least 2 years related experience, or equivalent, in the food industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexible with ability to prioritize.
Detail oriented.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of MS Access, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Genesis R&D® SQL or similar nutrition databases.
Experience with traditional and social media.
Regulatory and labeling experience a plus.
Passion for culinary arts and food is highly desirable.
