Web Infrastructure Engineer (WebSphere, UNIX Scripting, KSH, Perl & Jython)

We are seeking a Web Infrastructure Engineer who has excellent experience with (WebSphere, UNIX Scripting, KSH, and Perl & Jython). This is a long-term assignment mostly located in Brussels.

We require someone who has a good command of the English language.

Most important skills: WAS, WebSphere performance experience, Scripting language (ksh, Perl, jython), UNIX, Linux, Incident follow-up and ownership, can work independently, be able to work under pressure

  • Web Infrastructure operational support

  • Preparation and coordination of large infrastructure changes with impact on several domains

  • Participate regularly in on-call and standby activities (the person should be motivated to do this)

  • Day to day incident follow-up

  • Follow-up and coordination of recurrent infrastructure activities (f.e. problem tasks, infrastructure releases, LCM, Infrastructure projects, migration projects, )

  • Represent team during several meetings

  • Able to support organisation on shift and potential weekend support
