SummaryWorking with partners in Electronics, Engines, and Machine Systems, the Machine Controls Engineer plans and executes software and electronic system development and validation activities on machines at both the client's proving ground facility and at customer locations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Creation & execution of on-machine validation procedures for Embedded control systems related to new product development
- Thorough documentation of test results and issues encountered
- Support of other development and validation activities executed on-machine as technical expert for the electronic control system, including flashing software, updating hardware & troubleshooting of electronic control systems.
- Some travel to customer sites may be required to gather data, repair problems and perform tests.
- In addition to the specific systems above, controls validation may include implement, steering, transmission, display, machine, information control systems.
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering or Computer Science
- Understanding of electronic systems development tools (CANape, Matlab/Simulink, LabView) and methodologies
- Ability to concisely and accurately communicate technical information
