Description
I am working with a client in Birmingham who is recruiting for a SQL DBAResponsibilities:
- You will be involved with deployment planning and implementation of the database for new customers as well as supporting any technical issues
- monitor database schedules; using SSIS you check progress and fault find,
- correcting faults where necessary and re-running processes so customers can use the software.
- You will monitor performance of the customer's databases, this will include analysing performance related matters, and will have good knowledge of Advanced SQL.
- improve and maintain SSIS packages and possibly be involved in some SQL coding.
- monitor backups of databases and ensure proper DR procedures are in place.
- liaise with cloud partners to ensure that the hosted hardware platforms are performing optimally.
- supporting customers not only in the UK but potentially other countries including France, Dubai, Spain and Germany.
Essential:
- minimum of two to five years' experience in a SQL DBA role
- qualification based on SQL Server 2008R2 or equivalent.
