Role: Software Test EngineerLocation: Dundee
Duration: 5 Months
Rate: £26-29 Per Hour
I have an exciting opportunity for a Software Test Engineer for a company based in Dundee.
The successful candidate will have experience in the following;
- Device driver testing (written in C/C++)
- Performance testing and tools on Windows OS
- Windbg
- Test Management (e.g Quality Centre)
- Manual and automated tests
- Scripting automated test cased
- Jira
Working within a development team you will be responsible for;
- Ensuring high quality software solutions as a contributing member of a highly motivated team of Engineers
- Ensuring high quality software which meets requirements
- Full test coverage against requirements is expected
- Planning and conducting testing of product software systems, subsystems, and components
- Applying test methodology, processes, procedures, standards and tools used by the team.
- Performing volume, performance, memory leak and reliability testing
- Recording, maintaining and archiving test results
- Installing and configuring test environments including hardware and software components
- Designing and developing test scripts that facilitate re-use of test scripts and components
- Recording and tracking all issues uncovered during requirements review or testing and follow through to resolution
