up to 9 months FTC

Up to £28,000 + pension + 33 days' holiday + more

Your role as a Marketing Manager - Planning will sit within a diverse marketing team that's a hotbed of ideas within the group. Your role

Reporting to the Senior Marketing manager Promotions and Creative you will ensure that campaign activity is controlled and communicated to deliver a successful multi-channel campaign. Holding responsibility for planning, organising and implementing all promotional events, you will manage the overall promotional plan ensuring all key dates are visible to relevant stakeholders.

Screwfix skills

  • Prior experience in project management is essential, including project planning, timescale and workload management, progress reporting and contingency planning

  • Prior marketing experience and knowledge (product, price, placement and promotion is desirable).

  • Prior experience of working within a retail operations environment is desirable, as is experience of Direct Mail or Internet communications

  • Proven ability to work well across functions including marketing, buying and catalogue production - prior experience in working as a key interface between a number of departments is essential

  • Strong communication skills able to effectively communicate with and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders and audiences at all levels

  • Excellent planning and project management skills

  • You must be self-motivated & articulate and demonstrate the ability and commitment to deliver to tight deadlines within budget

  • You will have a high degree of attention to detail, excellent relationship management skills and the confidence to liaise professionally with senior / key stakeholders

  • Good PC skills and an ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive outlook and a flexible "can do" attitude is a must

  • You must work well under pressure, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of a campaign

  • Relevant professional qualifications in project management and/or marketing are desirable

  • Understanding of multi-channel business model and the key challenges and impacts of related marketing activity
