This is a truly interesting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing E-commerce website and be part of an international work environment.
In this position you will be responsible for working in a team of Infrastructure Engineers and Database Engineers/DBAs, providing support for all aspects of my clients website and infrastructure. You will ensure continual system operations and support the rapid business growth. You will work in the Production IS team to design, install, update, troubleshoot and repair new and existing systems and software.
In the day to day work: various different technologies are used including MySQL Multi-Master replication, CentOS, Puppet ,Tomcat and VMware. The client are always on the lookout to incorporate new timesaving technologies into their development process and welcome your suggestions, so somebody with a technical flair will be encouraged.
Required skills and experience
· Strong Linux systems administration
· Monitoring infrastructure availability with Nagios (or equivalent tool)
· Experience and interest in systems automation and systems programming
· Strong interest and ability to analyse systems for scalability and reliability problems which you can then resolve yourself
· Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
· A very strong "Can Do" attitude.
Desirable
· Any of these certifications LPCI-2/RHCSA/RHCE
· Mysql database administration
· Good programming skills in Python, PHP, Bash, Perl and Ruby
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, under pressure
· Familiarity with private cloud technologies like OpenStack / Stackops
· Logstash / Kibana
