Description
Our Client is seeking a "Subject Matter Expert" based in London, (Paddington or Heathrow - flexible) to support and maintain the WALKER service which comprises of a group of five applications (Walker GL, Walker POPL, Walker eJV, WalkerWeb, WalkerCM).
WALKER supports the following functions:
*Financial accounting (General ledger)
*Invoice processing and Supplier payments (Purchase ledger)
*Purchasing and Order placement (PO)
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide technical expertise and guidance to support WALKER service
*Ability to effectively articulate technical problems, solutions to Client
*Manage Client stakeholders effectively through effective status updates and by building strong working relationship
*Work with offshore team(s) effectively and deliver the service within service levels
*Lead Process and Capability building Initiatives
Skills and Experience:
*Experience required in WALKER bespoke tools
*Expertise required in CICS, Cobol, DB2, MVS JCL
*Proficient in the usage of XCOM, FTP and Control-M
*Strong Communication skill
*Proactive approach to things and ability to generate and drive initiatives such as Innovation, Process and Capability improvement agenda
*Knowledge of General Ledger, Purchasing accounts, Payable and Receivable is desired
*Exposure to Managed Services operations is desired
*Knowledge of IMS DB, HTML and VBA scripts is desired
This is a 3 month contract that may extend. Contract rate is circa £ per day but there may be some flexibility around this. Applicants must have used WALKER within the last 3 years to be considered by our Client.
