Description

My client who are a leading name in the energy and utilities sector are currently looking for a Pensions Administrator to join them.

Role:
*Initiate and check full range of benefit calculations computer-based systems to meet service standards and timetables and notify employees, members and pensioners of their entitlements options and payments within the limits imposed by legislation, and make sure they understand what they are due.
*Required to check colleagues work and authorise payments to prescribed limits.
*Deal with enquiries including those of a complex nature from employees, members, pensioners, Trustees, Trustee
*Services, external agencies and other stakeholders in writing, by telephone or through personal contact, to maintain understanding and service satisfaction.
*Make or arrange/authorise payments, in accordance with the prevailing rules, regulations, procedures and standards to ensure recipients receive their correct entitlements on time and ensure that they are correctly recorded.
*Maintain and use work monitoring and other operational support systems, to ensure that work is completed economically and on time.
*Undertake all aspects of pension scheme administration, establishing administrative procedures in line with legislation, HMRC, and UK Pensions Operations' best practice
*Prepare & deliver both individual and group training to colleagues. Acts as a mentor/trainer for new/less experienced staff.

Qualifications Required

Essential
*Will need to have at least five GCSEs or equivalent (English and Maths is essential) and two A Levels or equivalent and preferably be studying towards a pensions qualification, significant administration experience

Desirable
*Likely to have attained or will be studying towards Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision (APMI) or equivalent.
