Your tasks:
- Analyse and distil the initial project ideas, assess project ideas in terms of implementation, ROI, risk and success factors in coordination with the portfolio manager
- Creation of project plans with goals, resources, milestones, costs, spend, approach, project structure, risk management within the project organization; distribution of the project contracts in collaboration with and with approval of the project sponsor
- Division of a project into sub projects and work packages; planning of personnel (definition of roles and responsibilities) for the program and associated projects
- Recruiting, leading and assessing (qualifying) the project team members (if needed)
- Definition of the project communications plan, ensuring project information is available and distributed
- Inclusion of the project key stakeholders in relevant project activities (managing the relationships)
- Establishing the project relevant quality management procedures and implementing them; ensuring that the quality of the project output and their acceptance and approval is performed to plan
- Application of controlling mechanisms to influence the behaviour of the project team and the external suppliers
- Consolidation of the status reports on the project; defining and clarifying any deviations from the project plan
- Monitoring risk and implementing corrective actions; ensuring that corrective actions are effective
Your qualifications
- Experience as Project Manager effectively supporting cross functional project teams in a highly matrixed organization with non-co-located teams, preferably in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Strong influencing skills and a proven ability to get things done without formal authority
- University Degree (preferably Business Administration) or MBA
- Strong personal organization and Project Management skills
- Sound knowledge of standard project tools and methods
- Experience in IT user services is a benefit
- Knowledge of HP Service Manager platform is a benefit
- A Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus (PMP or equivalent)
- Fluency in English (spoken & written) is required; additional languages, such as German, Spanish, French are a plus
