Matlab Developer / Systems Modeller / Systems Engineer / 9 month Contract / North Yorkshire

My client based in North Yorkshire is a pioneer in the use of a patented space-era material for the use in next generation sensing and monitoring systems.

Over the past year, they have embarked on an exciting period of change moving from the development of high-tech materials to developing a product range of sensors and other components that utilises their patented materials.

I am currently recruiting an experienced Matlab Developer / Modeller / Systems Engineer for an initial 9 month project (high chance of extension).

The project is as follows:

Complete a gap analysis and identify the most suitable software and hardware packages to purchase.

Use Matlab to develop an automated system for the collection of data and test/analysis of data from sensors based at multiple sites. Responsible for the planning and management of this project.

Provide training on the effective use of the software.

Requirements:

• Matlab expertise - Essential
• Previous experience developing automated test and analysis algorithms in Matlab
• Ability to code in C / Embedded C
• Project Management experience - Desirable
• A self starter with the ability to work autonomously

Contract Length: 9 months initially with a high chance of extension and repeat work

Location: North Yorkshire

Rate: £35-41 per hour / £ per day
