Description

Our client, a pharmaceutical company, is looking for a candidate with proven experience in the engineering, design, construction and validation of pharmaceutical secondary production and packaging facilities in an engineering/project management position.

This role is to be responsible for planning, leading and managing the engineering project. The Construction Manager will be providing engineering expertise to the design and construction phase of the project and will be responsible for budgets and schedule of the project.
The project consists of parts such as offices and development/R&D laboratories.

Duration: Approx. 2-3 years contract duration

Key responsibilities:
Plan and lead the engineering and construction project.
Manage the detailed design and engineering activities with the appointed construction management company and design firm (Pre-construction services).
Manage the project execution phase from construction into commissioning and qualification until site handover to the owner (Technical Operations).
Provide engineering expertise on project execution of all engineering disciplines to the project.
Provide expertise on the process, labs, secondary packaging equipment, clean- and black utilities and HVAC systems.
Perform studies on the projects such as commissioning plan, qualification plan, construction activities, installation of equipment etc.
Lead cross functional teams on the project and structure working processes

The Construction Manager will share responsibility or contribute to:
Manage technology implementation projects or technology transfer projects to the new site.
Project status reporting to Global Engineering Management and to the Project Steering Committee.

Requirements:
Degree in engineering as well as proven experience in engineering related roles in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Proven leading experience in engineering and construction positions in the pharmaceutical industry from conceptual design, detailed design, construction through to qualification.
Knowledge of quality assurance and cGMP.
Excellent project management skills with wide experience of project management tools.
Ability to understand the impact of project control on overall business objectives and targets.
A task orientated, analytical skill set, able to work towards set objectives.
Team player and happy to work in a multicultural environment.
Strong communicator.
Broad technical knowledge of the various engineering disciplines such as process-, air-conditioning-, electrical, instrumentation -, piping- and civil engineering.
Knowledge of other disciplines such as construction, subcontract management, planning, quality c, commissioning and validation.
Fluent English and Danish language skills required.
