Software Developer/Integrator - 3 month contract - PrestonI am currently working with a public sector organisation in Preston; the role has arisen as the client is making improvements to their website and also they are going through a channel shift from phones to face to face transactions. The software developer will develop end to end transactional website with and will posses good customer service experience.
Job title: Software developer
Rate: £220 - £300 DOE
Location: Preston
Start date: ASAP
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support the web team with the design of the website to make dealing with the client simpler.
- Implementation of the navigation structures and components to provide optimal customer journeys through the website ensuring style sheets, templates and pages are fit for purpose.
- Optimise the contensis content management system to meet the requirements and optimal customer journeys.
- ensure the website is optimised for a full range of browsers for both mobile and desktop devices.
Qualifications:
- A recognised IT qualification that's supports the evidence of appropriate knowledge skills required below (such as ITIL)
- Microsoft certification in 3+ areas
- Project management qualification (such as PRINCE)
- CRB/BPSS
Knowledge , skills and experience required:
- understanding of common web application architectures
- Proven experience of scripting and programming
- Proven experience with front end HTML, .NET, C#, SQL, JAVA SCRIPT
- Familiarity with networks protocols - TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL ect
- Proven experience of writing interface between back office systems websites
- Proven experience of integrating and exploiting API
- Deploying, configuring and managing machines in a Cloud environment
- Understanding of application deployment strategies and continuous integration
- Experience of designing and implementing open source monitoring tools
