PHP- Laravel developerLooking for a talented software developer to join a rapidly growing retail company based in London. You will be responsible for new features, enhancements and ongoing development of more than one of the sister companies that fall within them.
Necessary skill set:
- PHP
- MySQL
- Professional experience within a web environment
- Laravel, Symfony or Zend
- MongoDB, Redis and RabbitMQ (at least one)
- Ability to write and structure code suitable for testing
- Comfortable with command line and reasonable DevOps skills
- Communication skills
Desirable
- Front-end technologies
- Python
- BS or MS in Computer Science or relevant experience commensurate to a bachelor's
- Contributions to open source software projects
Responsibilities
- Build features used by millions of people every day
- Test, integrate, write and debug software applications
- Research new technologies and incorporate them into new systems and products
- Take initiative in leading projects and collaborating with others
- Work to improve the efficiency and functionality of current systems and products
- Update current products and develop new ones to product specifications
The ideal candidate will have a drive to work in a fast-paced environment and take a genuine interest in implementing new technologies. Please note there is an opportunity to work abroad however this isn't a necessary part of the role.
