EQUITY DERIVATIVES LAWYER - CONTRACT - BASED IN ST PAULS, LONDON

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is currently seeking to recruit an Equity Derivatives Lawyer to join their EMEA Equity Derivatives Legal Team to be based in their offices in St Pauls, London.

Overview:

This role supports all the EMEA equity derivative/financing businesses (ex-corporate equity derivatives) in flow, structured, equity financing/synthetic prime brokerage in Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In addition to this, the EMEA Equity Derivatives legal team support the investible indices platform and the wider Bank of America Merrill Lynch/industry advocacy, responses and implementation of derivatives regulatory reform.

Key skills for an Equity Derivatives Lawyer:

*Experience of OTC Equity Derivatives and related documentation, whether in private practice and/or in-house Financial Services firm.
*Ideally experience in fund platforms and related documentation.
*Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
*Ability to work independently and part of a collaborative team.
*Good understanding of lusted derivative products.

Responsibilities of an Equity Derivatives Lawyer:

*Point of contact for documentation team/Front Office for day to day drafting queries and questions on ISDA Equity Definitions.
*Dealing with Front Office, documentation team and other support function in preparing template documentation for new products/derivatives with new pay-offs with Equity, Fund, Hybrid underliers.
*Point of contact for synthetic Prime Brokerage product; providing drafting/guidance to swap master confirmation negotiation team and helping to coordinate with Bank of America Merrill Lynch lawyers globally.
*Review/redraft of trade terms sheets and confirmations for Front Office and/or documentation teams on all types of Equity, Fund and Hybrid underliers.
*Involvement in reviewing rulebooks and ancillary documentation for Bank of America Merrill Lynch proprietary investible indices.
