Job description:
2-3 years relevant experience in Managed Services oversight of Database Operations with 5-8 years relevant IT Technical experience in Oracle related Infrastructure.
-Proficient knowledge in Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g. This includes installation/patching/upgrades, database administration, configuration, OEM, ASM
-Proficient knowledge of Backup/Recovery, RMAN, TSM
-Strong knowledge of database tuning, AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL tuning
-Managing databases in a large environment
-Strong knowledge of commands and Shell Scripting in Linux/AIX
-Understanding of the interrelationship between Oracle and Linux/AIX/Windows
-Strong ITIL and process discipline to ensure compliance within the Managed Services framework and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
-Fluent in English, in both oral and written communication
-Strong analytical and reasoning abilities. Able to develop and adapt business processes after evaluating multiple solutions
-Strong negotiation and presentation skills
-Experience with SAP and its related toolset, RAC, Exadata, Data Guard, GoldenGate Replication, Data Domain Boost, Encryption
-Strong knowledge in 12c
-MS SQL Server, Teradata, IBM Mainframe DB2
-Validation and SOX related controls
