Oracle DBA - Amsterdam, The Netherlands
An excellent opportunity for an Oracle DBA to join a large international client in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on a minimum 6 month contract with option to extend. The Oracle DBA is expected to plan, install and configure the product, implement applications, set up distributed queuing, enable appropriate security, administer and operate a queue manager network, enforce organizational and operational standards, perform basic problem determination and implement clustering and publish/subscribe topologies.
The Oracle DBA must have;
*Good understanding of Oracle databases, related utilities and tools
*Good understanding of the underlying operating system
*Good knowledge of the physical database design
*Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring
*Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
*Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Solid business communication skills both written and verbal, English mandatory plus Dutch preferred but not essential. ITIL certification required.
