Description

A Biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility have an long term contract requirement for an experienced Control Systems Engineer.



You will be required to provide technical engineering support to the manufacturing facility, and provide technical expertise to aid technical investigations for the Maintenance Engineering, Facility plant and production equipment including specialist manufacturing process equipment such as: Inspection machines, packaging equipment, utility systems, autoclaves, PLC's etc



This role will establish a strategy for control system life cycle across the

facility whilst ensuring compliance, adherence to policies, procedures and GAMP



Duties will involve:-



• Ensuring proactive support to ensure that the automation / process equipment / BAS performs to the  highest level of reliability, repeatability whilst maintaining compliance to meet the demand on the manufacturing schedule.

• Ensuring that all Engineering & Maintenance activities are performed to EHS requirements

• Development and maintenance of site procedures to ensure effective and compliant system usage, diagnostics, backups and data recoverability.

• Support automation system installations and modifications; including writing specifications and automation SOPs, programming, testing, and automation system maintenance.

• Execute GMP change control in line with corporate and site procedures; timely progression of CAPAs, and support deviation investigations, as required.



Requirements / Qualifications: Education:



•  Ideally, degree educated in either control systems or instrumentation engineering discipline.



Experience:

• A minimum of five years of process automation experience, with at least two years of GMP experience in a regulated manufacturing industry.

• The job holder shall be of a Subject Matter expert with their field of specialism.

• Experience with SCADA Systems, PLC Systems, programming PLC ladder logic & PID control loops, CSV, GAMP and 21 CFG part 11 -  is required.



Candidates must be familiar with the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment for Pharm/or Biotech facility equipment with knowledge of GXP systems.
