Job Profile: Markit EDM Consultant:
Markit EDM Consultant is urgently required to join a very long-term and complex implementation of Markit EDM in a diverse, international environment. Non-EU Markit EDM Consultants are welcome as sponsorship can be arranged with 2-4 weeks notice.
The Markit EDM Consultant will ideally conform to the following profile:
. 5+ years of experience with Markit EDM
. Qualified and certified Markit EDM practitioner (Introduction, Advanced and UI) with experience of version 8.5 or higher
. Practical working knowledge of working with external data providers like Bloomberg, Rimes and developing Markit EDM interfaces like security, portfolio, benchmarks and transactions
. Ability to design and develop UI workflows based on existing standards and guidelines
. Practical working knowledge of XML, WSDL/Web services, flat file formats and messaging
. In depth knowledge of database technologies and architecture. Hands on with SQL and Data Modeling is a pre
. Propose Markit EDM solution design and develop following Markit EDM best practices to ensure a consistent construction of the application
. Be an integral player in the design and development process and provide guidance to the less experienced team mates, supporting, coaching, and mentoring where necessary
. Ability to engage with clients/analysts as well as design and develop Markit EDM solutions directly from requirements
. Ability to manage client expectations and convey complex requirements in a clear and concise fashion
. Participation in code reviews & solving problems found in testing phase
. Ability to act as a technical lead and work with other developers to identify overlapping or conflicting requirements
. Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
. Ability to be proactive and know when it is appropriate to push back to ensure project objectives, scope and timelines are achieved
. Knowledge of Investment Management is a pre
