Description
Independently develops and maintains software applications. Works on complex analytical and programming tasks, requiring knowledge of programming languages and data communications and general knowledge of the business operations/customer supported. Assists with development and maintenance efforts supporting software application. More specifically, duties will include:
Financial Services Experience:
Business related degree preferable and a knowledge of a wide range of ETD and OTC securities
Minimum 4 years Financial Services experience
Experience on-boarding new clients or setting up new procedures for non-standard processes
.Technical Experience:
- Expert Microsoft Excel user, ability to use a variety of formulae and pivots to solve problems and do analysis essential
- Macro development using VBA essential
- Capable of automating data extracts from a variety of file types - Excel/CSV/TXT
- Define and use collections/classes in VBA to store and manipulate data
- Output data to a variety of file types - Excel/CSV/TXT
- Perform own cost/benefit analysis in terms of deciding level of automation request deserves
- Write own support documentation and support own macros, building databases from scratch
- Ability to write/edit VBA and SQL within Access
- Experience working directly with Business Operations Teams and Project Teams
