Description
We are seeking talented and self-motivated Front End Web Developers at all levels with skills in technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
You will be joining a new and fast-growing agile team in our Central London offices to help design and build a high volume, high availability and high performance web site. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in changing the way that web products are delivered within the company, devising and implementing a modern approach to software engineering that enables continuous delivery and releasing features on-demand. You will be part of a cross-functional product development group using agile management and engineering practices.
Key Tasks:
- Work as part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional, agile product development team to develop a new responsive web application from the ground up
- Responsive web development with Front End technologies such as HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
- Develop automated tests
- Peer review other developers' code
- Work with Product Managers and QA to ensure software is high quality and meets user requirements
- Produce any necessary documentation
- Help to grow the London teams by assisting with the recruitment of other developers and team members
- Support the live site as required
Skills/Experience:
- Strong Front End skills: HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with development of responsive interfaces
- Development using Front End layout and application frameworks: Bootstrap, Foundation or similar
- Strong AJAX application development skills with some framework/library experience: AngularJS, Ember.js, Backbone, RequireJS, jQuery
- Agile experience with Scrum/Kanban/XP
- Experience with agile engineering practices such as TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, automated testing and deployment
- A positive, constructive approach with an emphasis on collaboration and good execution
- Some exposure to XML/XSLT
