A global Financial Services organisation is urgently looking for an Interim Infrastructure Architect to shape infrastructure development and support major international transformation programmes.
This is a key hire for the business and an integral role in the senior IT team as the organisation is going through a huge period of technical change. Supporting a dynamic and high performing IT team you will be responsible for shaping technical solutions that will have a direct and lasting impact across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serves as infrastructure architecture expert for the multi-disciplinary project teams they are a member of
- Has extensive experience delivering infrastructure solutions; develops the technical strategy for the projects and acts as SME to program/project teams in the plan, design, and delivery of solutions.
- Accountable for documenting infrastructure designs to the organisation's standards
- Accountable for taking the designs though the formal review process
- Develops and drives short & long term infrastructure strategy for the overall IT project portfolio
- Advises teams of standard requirements, security standards, methodology and processes.
- Assists project teams in estimating the architecture design effort and in developing/reviewing/approving architecture designs.
- Advises project teams on the application of standards/methodology practices to the project.
Essential requirements:
- Demonstrable senior IT and Infrastructure architecture experience, ideally in Financial Services
- Ability to develop enterprise guidelines and standards
- Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs
- Knowledge of enterprise platforms and operating systems
- Strong team management and stakeholder engagement abilities
