Financial Analyst
Description:
This individual will perform database management, technical analysis and report financial and operational performance.
This position will also gather, analyze and prepare reports of budgeted, forecast and actual expenditures.
This position will work closely with members of the consolidation, governance, and regional engagement team.
Design and create complex reports layouts in Excel and maintain existing Financial reports.
Maintain and execute databases processes to track financial information for operational and capital expenditures in conjunction with financial and operational partners
Prepare financial trend and data analysis reports
Assist in the development of financial models, budget and forecasts to support strategic initiatives
Work autonomously but collaboratively with teammates and clients
Maintain spreadsheets for presentation and analysis of financial reports
Partner with Finance counterparts in all organization to improve financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing customer request.
Daily refresh existing reports (downloading data extracts from data warehouse, upload into access database, refresh excel reports) during month end close, forecast/budget/lrfp planning cycles
Prep/maintain/update reports as needed for month end close, forecast/budget/lrfp planning cycles
Work closely with current reporting analyst
Ad hoc requests
Requirements:
Minimum number of years of experience required: 2
Strong analytic and problem solving skills are essential. Must be able to research and explain data discrepancy issues so that both technical and lay users can understand.
Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge (working knowledge of vlookup and other advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, VBA experience a plus),
Beginner to intermediate Access knowledge
Basic computer programming language knowledge/understanding, VBA and SQL skills a plus
Technologically savvy
Familiar with financial statements (ex: opex vs. capex)
Results driven
Able to juggle multiple competing deadlines
Ability to be creative with data analysis
Good communication skills, team player, great collaborator
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
What I am really looking for is someone who is eager to learn, absorbs information like a sponge, follows directions well, but able to think outside of the box when necessary, doesn't need a micro-manager/babysitter, remembers prior situations and able to apply learned lessons in a similar situation down the road.
