Profile 3 Solutions Architecture Consultant
Principle Accountabilities
Responsible for translating the client's business requirements into specific systems, applications and/or process designs for custom technical solutions. Analyzes customer requirements and designs solutions to meet the customer objectives and balances the needs of sales and delivery to design a solution that meets or exceeds the requirements of service delivery.
- Primary expert to construct the specific solution, scope document, risk profile, and corresponding financials.
- Uses expertise to construct specific and detailed solutions that encompass process, technology, project and staffing plans.
- Constructs risk assessments and corresponding remediation plans relative to custom solution proposals.
- Composes applicable services agreements (eg Statements of Work, SLA documentation, etc.) that specify processes, technology, staffing, deliverables, commitments, risk, and project management aspects of a solution.
- Supports deal negotiation and closure to include transition support to service delivery.
- Serves as a services subject matter expert to both internal and external customers.
- Confirms design and assumptions with the customer
Experience
- Organizational expert within defined subject area.
- 8 + years' experience with major consultancy or system integrator with regular exposure of solutioning large sized projects ($250K consulting)
- Integrates deep subject matter expertise with:
- Industry experience.
- In-depth knowledge of professional standards and trends within area of expertise.
- Relevant related disciplines.
- Business goals and strategy. - Uses experience, innovation and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information.
- Participates or leads in customer presentations at the senior leadership level.
Qualifications
- Industry Certifications like Microsoft MCSE for Exchange, Windows, SQL
- Storage Solution design (SAN, DAS, NAS) Certification
- Server Solution design Consolidation and virtualization. Certification: VMware Certified Professional
Skills
- Technical Subject matter expert in at least one service area or technology
- Skills and experience in constructing complex service solutions in the IT services market.
- Advanced understanding of services related processes and technologies.
- Thorough understanding of services P&L and cash flow development and business impact.
- In-depth knowledge of assessing operational risk on profitability and impacts to service delivery.
- Experience in assessing service delivery cost driver attributes of complex services.
- Complete understanding and ability to construct, tailor, and negotiate service contracts (eg SOW) for both customer engagement and partner provisioning.
