Senior Java Developer - Contract - Banking
First-rate Senior Java Developer required for global financial Powerhouse based in The City.
The Senior Java Developer will be working as part of a cutting-edge Agile team of Senior Java Developers developing Front Office Systems & Tools used by the global Equity Derivatives business for flow and exotic equity derivatives, options and fund linked products. The majority of the code you will be writing will be Java, however, there is a growing amount of Scala and Clojure being written within the business.
The successful Senior Java Developer will have demonstrable experience of designing and implementing high volume, highly scalable, robust systems, ideally in a financial environment although outstanding candidates from similarly scalable backgrounds will be considered.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a truly top-class Senior Java Developer to work within one of the most tech-driven teams in the banking sector - the team itself is made up of genuine technologists, many of whom are regular open source contributors and Agile speakers.
The successful Senior Java Developer will possess some or all of the following:
- Core Java (essential)
- Test-driven development/TDD (essential)
- High volume experience (essential)
- Caching experience (Oracle Coherence is extremely desirable)
- Equity Derivatives
- Spring, Spring MVC
- RESTful web services
- Javascript/angular.js/node.js/backbone.js
