Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

I currently have a fantastic opportunity in Plymouth. I am looking for a Firmware/Embedded Software Engineer to join a global specialist in their industry. I am looking for someone who is looking to work somewhere they can make a genuine impact with what they do on a day to day basis. You will be passionate about delivering real and innovative solutions.
The Role:
- Due to growth I am looking for an experienced Firmware/Embedded Software Engineer
- On a day by day basis you will be involved in creating software for a wide range of products including Internet of Things products and many more
- You will be involved in the full product development cycle
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the concept, system design and software architecture for new smart home and Internet of Things products
- Full lifecycle involvement, participating in and leading the detailed design, coding and validation of software
Key Requirements:
- Embedded software development
- C, C++, Assembly, etc.
- Object-orientated development
- Practical understanding of UML
- Excellent understanding of electronics and microcontroller-based embedded systems
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a volume manufacture environment
- Experience of low-power wireless communications, such as IEEE , Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- Experience of ARM Cortex based microcontrollers
Other Comments:
- You will also be an excellent communicator with good time management skills.
- You must be pro-active and be able to work in a team
