Description

This resource will provide SME for the Software Engineering space.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Software engineering community to define overall process and application solution sets
  • Define short and long term process and application strategies
  • Define overall Software engineering application and process architecture and ensure integration efficiencies with other engineering processes and applications
  • Partner with engineering to deploy processes and applications
  • Partner with engineering to support processes and applications
  • Requirements gathering and documentation to support application design and test activities
  • Application configuration and coding to support the engineering business processes
  • Application test creation and documentation of results
  • Provides operation support to resolution and escalates incidents based on priority and time frame to senior IT management and senior business customers.
  • Maintains communications plan with engineering regarding application roadmaps, the status of problems/incidents, and project plans/status.
  • Vendor application relationship management, roadmap influence, and ongoing license optimization & management
  • Provide specific JIRA SME knowledge
This position is First Shift SKILLS:

Qualifications:
  • Jira, Gerrit, Jenkins, Clear Case
  • BS Computer Science or Software Engineering and min 5 years experience
  • Experience with administration and deployment of Atlassian Jira and Green Hopper for agile capabilities.
  • Experience installing plug ins or addons for JIRA to provide enhanced capabilities.
  • Experience creating complex reports on historical data found in JIRA.
  • Extensive knowledge of open source software engineering tools (GIT, Gerrit, Subversion, JIRA, etc) to include adding new projects, new personnel, data reporting, data recovery, trouble-shooting problems, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic system administration of Windows Server OS including software installation, patching, job scheduling, performance monitoring
  • Capability to provide training on open source tools and internally developed tools to Operations Support personnel and software engineers
  • Researches solutions and coordinates the remediation of deficiencies
  • Experience with creating and modifying Shell Scripts
  • Experience managing or deploying the tools
