SQL Server DBA - Luxembourg
- Contract - 6 months + extensions
- Start: August
- Rate: Market Rates
- Languages: French and English
General role description:
- Operational management of the ICT production environment
- Debugging and analysing of reported problems and escalated incidents.
- Direct intervention on ICT infrastructure (server, storage, network).
- Preparation and test of new reference configurations (CRB) for any supported hardware.
- Basic Network administration tasks.
- Validation and tests of new procedures before release.
- Assistance with roll-out of new ICT infrastructure projects.
- Work in Shifts - Late, Early and night every few weeks
Minimum required
- Experience with Service management tools - 2 year.
- ITIL foundations certification.
- Microsoft Operations system administration experience of 4 years (Windows 2012 preferable).
- MS SQL Database Administrator - 3 year
Technical requirements related to Data base management:
The profile's technical background should cover:
- SQL User Provisioning & Security
- SQL HA Cluster management
- SQL DB moving
- Import and Export in SQL
- DB Indexing
- SQL Server Jobs - setup, scheduling, control
- SQL Maintenance - define and follow-up
- SQL Backup - define, plan and follow-up
- SQL Server Profiler - performance troubleshooting
- Monitoring - Proactive and reactive
- Reporting Services
Additional knowledge and skills:
- Good Scripting abilities (PowerShell preferable)
- SCOM, VMware ESX, WSFC.
- Microsoft SharePoint 2010 knowledge
- Oracle database knowledge
