Role Title: Infrastructure Engineer - Unified Communication (Lync/Skype & Exchange Server)
Role Location: Hilversum, Netherlands
Role Type: Contract
As our Unified Collaboration Senior Engineer you will function as part of the Technology Infrastructure Services team at client's place as a subject matter expert in Lync 2013 and Skype for Business Server 2015.
You will have a strong knowledge of Exchange Server and MS Windows Server .
You will have proven experience of deploying and supporting Lync 2013 or Skype for Business server Solutions.
The major scope of duties encompasses optimizing Client's infrastructure for UC traffic - optimizing for the efficient and secure flow of voice, video and data across devices ranging from fixed endpoints to mobile devices, both inside and outside of the Client network.
You will be the subject matter expert for UC within Europe. In this capacity you will be expected to not only inform your global partners but also influence where necessary.
You will have a deep understanding of how these UC products/technologies compete and interact with existing business tools, how they integrate into the Enterprise environment, and how to build and maintain a global management framework.
This organization supports Client's internal customers throughout Europe but also is closely linked with the global organization in the US.
Key Knowledge Areas
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business Server - Presence and Messaging (On and Off Prem), Enterprise Voice experience is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory
LAN/WAN
Experience designing and delivering Lync solutions, including VoIP solutions would be advantageous.
Requirements for this role include:
MCSE: Communication (desirable)
Strong related experience in Information Technology
Strong experience with Enterprise Management/Architecture/Engineering
Expert working knowledge of network communications inclusive of voice, video, data, directory services, and integration.
Ability to perform technical/financial analysis and the business case to show work and create justification for both the conclusions and the need for the expense.
Expert level of knowledge in governances for enterprise architecture roadmaps
Some knowledge of iterative tools; ie Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, RUP/Lean
Ability to travel both domestic and international
Superb ability to communicate highly technical information in a meaningful way to a broad audience.
Ability to pass a 7 year background check
