Strategic Business Partner - Manchester

Do you have a strong track record of managing a business engagement or customer relationship function within a large organisation, with extensive experience of working across business functions and understanding differing operational constraints and demands.

Can you demonstrable experience of working at the most senior levels of large and complex organisations, with a proven ability to negotiate with, challenge and influence key stakeholders

Do you have a strong background working in a Council environment and managing multiple customers with competing priorities preferred

Strategic Business Partner will provide leadership and management to a function within a specific service. The Strategic Business partner will manage, deploy and co-ordinate all resources in a well-planned and controlled manner, ensuring that service requirements and resource levels are fully identified.

Strategic Business Partner Accountabilities:

Manage teams and staff to deliver key priorities and initiatives with staff resources deployed accordingly.

Ensure the implementation of systems and procedures in line with relevant statutory requirements and the proper application of corporate policies across all the function.

Provide direction to the Business Engagement and Strategy function, enabling it to develop highly effective relationships within the ICT department and across the organisation.

Undertake proactive business engagement to appraise the business of how ICT can support business priorities and understand, challenge and/or support the change initiatives of the directorate in relation to ICT concerns.

Manage and control the project portfolio pipeline, ensuring ICT projects are aligned with the business plans.

Manage the business relationship, facilitating an open and supportive working environment that boosts flexibility, collaboration and two-way communications in order to enhance visibility of project progress and certainty of delivery.

Technical requirements:

Strong track record of managing a business engagement or customer relationship function within a large organisation, with extensive experience of working across business functions and understanding differing operational constraints and demands.

Demonstrable experience of working at the most senior levels of large and complex organisations, with a proven ability to negotiate with, challenge and influence key stakeholders

Experience of working in a public sector environment and managing multiple customers with competing priorities preferred

Successful Strategic Business Partner must be eligible to work in the UK.
