Description

We are currently recruiting for an Office Automation Consultant based in Belgium for a contract starting in September -

Job Description
- Activity management:
- Problem understanding, specifications, flowcharts
- Preparation of technical specifications
- Writing technical documentation
- Activity management and reporting
- Reengineering/tuning of development process flow
- Design, development, tests, documentation, release control, maintenance and technical support of office automation software components and services
- Preparation of reports and studies concerning the related technologies
(product behaviour analysis, SW management, SW configuration, SW
deployment, etc )
- Provide support to the Product Management of Office Automation for configuring products, provide advise for training and support, writing
technical notices, etc
- The various tasks have to be performed in accordance with the EC's
internal rules for SW management, deployment and configuration.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary-school Training in IT institute (3-year program) certified by a bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience

3 years of relevant studies + Junior: 1 year of experience Normal: 6 years of experience Senior: 9 years of experience

Knowledge

Please note that with respect to qualifications, two years of experience in the relevant domain is considered as equivalent to one year of higher education. However, where necessary for covering minimum educational requirements, these years of professional experience cannot be taken into account for a second time in the calculation of a consultant's total number of years of experience.
- Software production and management and in Software documentation and reporting
- Office Automation products, in particular with MS suites (Office 2010-
2013, Sharepoint technologies), browsers and authoring products
- VSTO, C# (ISO/IEC 23270), .NET, VBA, VB
- Knowledge of multilingual issues in SW production
- Knowledge of standards and formats related to Office Automation products ((Unicode, XML, ODEF, ISO/IEC 29500, ISO/IEC 26300, ISO/IEC 32000, ISO/IEC 19005, RTF, HTML and Web, ...)
- Desktop OS: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8.x
- Server OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2; Linux
- Web System know-how: web technology knowledge, web application development, site administration, knowledge of related products (specially browsers and plug-ins), utilities and management systems for the Web
- Technical redaction skills in English
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings (English or French), ease of communication in technical matters.

Optional specific expertise
- Worked on similar projects and on software production management
- Worked with these programming technologies: OO
Programming, Java/JEE, PHP, Javascript, Json, XML,
- Microsoft Certified Solution Developer status, MCSE (or equivalent)
- Windows SW administration technologies (Active Directory, Group Policies, MSI, etc.)
