Description

Role: Infotainment Systems Engineer

Location: Woking, UK

Duration: 12 Months

Rate: £35 - £40 per hour

I am urgently seeking an Infotainment engineer to work for a well-known company in Guildford this company have recently expanded and have the latest up to date engineering facilities.

If you were successful your role would be to development, test and delivery of state-of-the-art electronic information and entertainment features to current and future client road cars.

Daily Duties:
  • Write detailed system specifications for infotainment features.
  • Assist with management of multiple hardware and software suppliers to deliver new infotainment features on time, on cost, and within quality and functional specifications.
  • Assist with work provision for a small test engineering team.
  • Manage and execute testing of all software deliveries.
  • Take responsibility for resolving infotainment issues on current production vehicles.
  • Report on current activities, software status and issues at a business level.
  • Test client road cars with the latest features and content before release.
  • Develop and co-ordinate DVP plans for all areas associated with the infotainment software.
  • Manage and develop manual and automated test rigs to facilitate the required testing of all new and existing features within the infotainment software domain.
  • Assist with fault finding and root cause analysis of software and hardware failures.


Key skills required:
  • Overall 10 years of experience where in 3 to 5 years in automotive domain
  • Writing System specification
  • Developing test cases
  • Coordinate with supplier
  • Responsible for whole system
  • Bluetooth, Audio, Radio, Hands-free
  • Experience with Infotainment Systems: Bluetooth, Hands-Free Phone, AM/FM radio, Navigation, Audio Media and Infotainment HMI features.
  • Knowledge of CAN and CAN based tools.
  • Experience and understanding of vehicle level system integration in terms of hardware and software
  • Experience of systems testing of HMI-based systems.
