We are currently recruiting for an Office Automation Expert based in Belgium for a contract starting in September -
Job Skills and Description
- Project management:
- Preparation of project descriptions, functional specifications, technical specifications.
- Team management
- Activity management and reporting
- Problem understanding, specifications, flowcharts
- Reengineering/tuning of development process flow
- Conception, design, coordination of the implementation and quality assessment of office automation software solutions and services
- Design and development of advanced office automation software solutions and services; solutions integration.
- Conduct market surveys.
- Preparation of reports and studies concerning the related technologies (product behaviour analysis, SW management, SW configuration, SW deployment, etc).
- Advice concerning Office Automation products, formats, standards, collaborative solutions, Web 2.0 concepts and implementation, and Document Management Systems.
- Program analysis, development, testing and maintenance.
- The various tasks have to be performed in accordance with the EC's internal rules for SW management, deployment and configuration.
Qualifications
Post-secondary-school university studies (5-year program), in computer science or engineering, certified by a master diploma or equivalent
Experience
5 years of relevant studies + Junior: 1 year of experience Normal: 6 years of experience Senior: 9 years of experience
Please note that with respect to qualifications, two years of experience in the relevant domain is considered as equivalent to one year of higher education. However, where necessary for covering minimum educational requirements, these years of professional experience cannot be taken into account for a second time in the calculation of a consultant's total number of years of experience.
Knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of Office Automation products, in particular MS suites ( Office , Sharepoint technologies), OpenOffice.org, browsers and authoring products
- Knowledge of standards and formats related to Office
Automation products (Unicode, XML, ODEF, ISO/IEC
29500, ISO/IEC 26300, ISO/IEC 32000, ISO/IEC 19005, RTF, HTML and Web)
- Knowledge of VSTO, C# (ISO/IEC 23270), .NET, VBA, VB
- Knowledge of multilingual issues in SW production
- Knowledge of Software production and management and in
Software documentation and reporting
- Desktop OS: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8.x
- Server OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2; Linux
- Document Management, Content Management, Workflow, Web Content Management
- OSS products and solutions (Open Office, Wiki solutions,
blogging solutions, collaborative and content management solutions etc)
- Web System know-how: web technology knowledge, web application development, site administration, knowledge of related products (specifically browsers and plug-ins), utilities
and management systems for the Web
- Knowledge of security concepts and methodologies and how these concepts are implemented in office automation
components
- Technical presentation skills
- Technical redaction skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings (English or
French), ease of communication in technical matters.
