Role: Interaction Designer - UX
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Duration: 3 months
Start Date: ASAP
My Newcastle based client is currently looking for an Interaction Designer to join them on an initial 3 month contract. The successful candidate will possess a good understanding of product and service design and an understanding of complex service ecosystems. You will also need knowledge of delivery platforms, cutting edge technology developments and the marketplace to ensure great service design. The Interaction Designer has an awareness and enthusiasm for this holistic approach to design.
Knowledge, experience and technical skills:
. Have an opinion of and be up to date with technological advances.
. The ability to articulate the story to clients.
. Demonstrate an understanding of device/ecosystem platforms.
. Experience designing for mobile devices is advantageous.
. Proficient in sketching and relevant software packages including Omnigraffle and Axure.
. Demonstrable skills in Information Architecture, Visual Communication, Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign are an advantage.
. Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
. Able to demonstrate good written and verbal English skills.
. Willingness to perform other related duties as and when required.
